The Heritage Club of Seth Hirachand Mutha College, Kalyan organized a celebration of Savitribai Phule Jayanti on 3rd January, 2025 to honor the legacy of Savitribai Phule, a pioneer of women’s education and social reform in India. The event aimed to enlighten students about her invaluable contributions and inspire them to uphold her ideals of equality and education for all.
The program commenced with a lamp-lighting ceremony and a tribute to Savitribai Phule, followed by an inspiring speech by Jagruti Shelar (Heritage Club Coordinator) and Divya Bhandari (FYBA) , emphasizing her revolutionary role in promoting women’s rights and education.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the Heritage Club Coordinator, expressing gratitude to all participants, faculty, and the organizing team. The celebration was a resounding success, fostering awareness and admiration for Savitribai Phule’s legacy among students and faculty alike.
